''Along the way, I learned about vine growing, pruning, disbudding, trellising...

First harvest, my children are here. Even the youngest, 9 years old, is cutting grapes with his shear.

Through the eyes of my children resonate all the emotions that I feel:

• The eldest, 18 years old, with a piercing gaze, dominating the expanse of Altavillois vines, the creative fury, the innovative fury, to do, to do…

• My daughter, 16 years old, with a serene look, a little poetic, a hint of dream, of magic... of fullness... an immutable rock

• My youngest son, 9 years old, with a mischievous look, the carefree attitude of a child, but already with a clear rigor, a scientist measuring the time to fill a basket of Champagne grapes...

And my wife, supporting me, stimulating me... with me.

Pressing the grapes, extracting the substantial soul of our future Champagne. The adventure is exciting, we don't realize it. The first bottles arrive, we stick the labels...

No, it is not an outcome, it is not an end. I repeat a word from Robert Mondavi, authenticated by my visits to Napa Valley: "It's only the beginning" he said when he created his winery at the age of 52.''
